In an effort to reach more readers online, The Post-Crescent newspaper, based in Appleton WI, has changed the name of it's newsroom to. The Gannett Co., Inc. newspaper's newsroom is now called The Information Center. The difference moves the attention from being a print first publication to one that gathers news and information for a variety of Web and print platforms. The Web site, postcrescent.com will break news all day long, with local content debuting digitally before it hits our printed pages. The newsroom is broken down in to five major desks: Public Service, Community Conversation, Multimedia, Custom Publishing, and the Local desk. This video explains each and how the news gathering process has changed. |
