Not sure what your point is here, but Andromida is moving towards us, so it stands to reason that it used to be further than it is now.

that's saying that the earth, sun, and entire galaxy were all at once close together.

Yeah, well i take everything with a pinch of salt, be in from the net, a book, a lecturer, my girlfriend, family, or even myself, haha. I'm very skeptical, even of many things proposed by evolution/science. Once it has been proven, in my mind at least, then i begin to accept it as quite likely to be true.

I agree that the internet has it's uses, but I prefer books by the experts. The real problem with information on the internet, as far as I can tell, is that you almost have to know the subjecty matter in more detail than what you are reading before you can be sure of it's quality. That said, wikepedia is a useful ad quite sound source.

Yes thats correct, so keeder1 must be wrong as the furthest known naked eye object is the andromada galaxy at 2.4 million light years away. It stands to reason that the universe, and andromada, must be at least this age.

Even if you did know links, you can't post them in the comments. It's very annoying. I don't completely distrust the internet, and don't completely trust books. They are totally different sources of info, both CAN be unreliable. The internet has the advantage of keeping up to date, and wide-spread criticism, but books are carefully written, usually by people who know a lot on the subject.

It is not a faith. Faith belief that is not based on proof There is much proof of evolution, and the accuracy of dating methods.

There isn't simply one way of dating. Each method has upper and lower limits. It is possible to use a few methods for certain things, 1000s of years old, which aren't acceptable for others millions of years old. Each method is repeated many many times, and used along side other methods to reduce the possibility of mistakes.

I don't need to have faith, and don't need to have lived as long as something to know its age. I'm 19, and yet i know my dad is 56 because i've seen the evidence. From just looking at him i'd say he is mid 50s(grey hair etc). There may also be tests i could do to define his age. Look into radiometric dating and you will see why it is accepted as true.
