| deafmel ::: Favorites 2008-02-03 16:59:18 ok..i see your point.. there are different phone company people can choose which company to use, they have choice to make, we deaf people can make our own choice which VRS to use, why complain? we have choice to make...without VRS we wont have any videophone...better than tty relay service, or depend hearing people to call for you. we now have many choices and should be thankful to have it. i dont care who or which are best VRS company...most important be glad to have VRS than nothing! __________________________________________________ | |

Of course it is your right to use whichever VRS you prefer. However, if you do some research into other companies and Sorenson and compare their involvement with the community you may find that they are all on pretty similar footing. __________________________________________________ | |

Quality of terp and pay for terp is raised by their being some competition. Better quality terp is good for the Deaf consumer. There is a shortage of interpreters in most every area, especially during the school year. People still need to make phone calls though, and setting up more call centers is the way to satisfy the demand. __________________________________________________ | |
