When I visited him last in 2006, I asked him if he knew about the incident or saw it. He's almost 90 now but he recalled seeing the craft(s) when it flew over...and in great detail. He just said that he knew it was too slow to be a plane, too big to be a blimp and that the Army fired on it the whole time as it flew over.
