LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH ::: Favorites Exactly my point! Since 1945 there is no other army with the same experience levels as the British Army. The British Army has fought & BEATEN Communist insurgents, Malaya, Borneo, Kenya, Oman, It has fought in conventional wars EG Korea, Falklands War, Gulf War 1 & 2, Afganistan. It did a good job of keeping PIRA at bay in NI & the UK for 30 yrs. We know how to deal with terrorists EG IRANIAN EMBASSY '80. NOBODY else has such depth of experience & success as the British. LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH ::: Favorites Umm, yes the Germans are in Aganistan, and they aren't doing much tucked away in a relatively safe & stable region of the country. So far 6 German soldiers have been killed. The Brits & Canadians are doing the donkey work over their whilst (AS USUAL!!) other NATO 'allies' stand on the sidelines, it's quite pathetic really.... 07-08-26 16:11:00 _____________________________________________________

UK) was it... the German army was only sent in the war ,because the USA and his allies loose the control (but was the wars ever under control?). the german ,as a member of nato, does 122.000.000 €/164.000.000 US Dollar (122 million €) spends...that are 18 % from the budget of nato....only the USA spends more... 07-08-26 16:34:41 _____________________________________________________

It's no use having lots of shiny kit if it never does more than go on NATO training exercises! LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH ::: Favorites Yes I did. The IDF have fought conventional wars only, and been involved in Peace Keeping/security based operations. They do not have the same breadth of experience as the British Forces do, despite the fact that the IDF are quite formidable, they don't have experience of fighting in different regions/theatres like the British.
